It's 100% paid off and I look forward to seeing what the team does in the future. Thank you for all of your time and hard work. Definitely recommending this game to everyone I know. If this doesn't have "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam in a month or two - I'll legitimately be upset. Announced in 2016, the game takes place in the near-future, where a toxic miasma is. I've never called a game a masterpiece in my entire life and, 6 hours in, this is an obvious masterpiece. Chucklefish have released 25 minutes of new gameplay for developer Pixpil’s retro adventure RPG Eastward. I just wanted to say thank you to the development team at Pixpil and Chucklefish for publishing this masterpiece. I haven't beaten the Demon King yet but you better believe I will eventually. Within Eastward, there's a "mini-game" that is a fully fledged RPG and during my 6 hours, so far, I've played Earth-Born for 3 hours so far. This trademark was filed to USPTO on Monday, August 17, 2020. I've also seen a lot of comparisons to Zelda games, which makes me wish I played those games all the more, back in the day. EASTWARD is a trademark and brand of Chucklefish Limited, London, GB. I've seen a lot of comparisons to The Last of Us - based on John's appearance and the fact that you travel with a young girl, Sam and they're just as likeable as Joel and Ellie - even more so. If it looks nice - that's a bonus.Įastward is the first "pixel" game I ever looked at and said, "I have to play this." From the colours, to the design of the characters/ environments, the atmosphere that screamed comfy, dreadful and wacky all at once. The interaction is what's most important, in my opinion. Consider me a "Graphics Whore" - though I do find gameplay to be far more important. I may not play them but I respect the hell out of them and the work that goes into them. This will be their first game together, and Pixpil’s first game ever. The London-based studio is partnering with a small studio in Shanghai by the name of Pixpil. We, literally, wouldn't be where we are today without them. In a recent announcement Chucklefish, the indie studio behind StarBound and Stardew Valley, have released details about their new game Eastward. Although I don't play them, I recognize their importance within the gaming industry. There are so many series I would love to get into and I have a feeling, if I had played these games when I was younger, I would hold them in much higher regard. I've never really been interested in video games with pixel graphics - this is to my detriment, trust me, I know.
